MR. R C PRASAD

Mr. R.C. Prasad, M.B.A.LLM had worked with Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax department for more than two decades and presently a leading consultant in Indirect Taxation and is having vast experience of preparing litigation related submissions and appearance before various adjudicating authorities, appellate authorities, CESTAT and Settlement Commission.

Mr. Prasad has the distinction of pioneering the concept of imparting education in the field of Indirect Taxation. It was because of his vision, that Institute of Finance & Taxation (IFT)was founded in July,2016, when there was no discussion on GST. IFT is considered to be the first of its kind in India. Regular classes on GST are being held in the institute since July,2016.

He is a regular guest faculty in the Department of Law of Saurashtra University, Rajkot for delivering lectures in Taxation to LLM students. He is visiting faculty to National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics, ZTI, Vadodara. He was invited to train all the senior State Tax officers of Uttarakhand State Tax department.

He is heading the GST Committee of Rajkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Rajkot and was designated as Member of the Gujarat State GST Co-ordination Committee of the State of Gujarat for smooth implementation of GST.

He is a regular columnist and writing articles on GST and designated as advisor to taxindiaonline.com (a leading tax portal of the country).
